FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Nest Health, the first value-based primary care provider built for families, will celebrated its arrival in Northern Arizona with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Murdoch Community Center on Tuesday, October 20. The event was hosted with the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and the Southside Community Association. Nest's care team saw its first Flagstaff patients at the center, immediately following the celebration.

Families use Nest for checkups, sick visits, mental health care, and coordinated support for things like food, transportation and utilities, with kids and parents seen together. For families with Health Choice as their AHCCCS plan, care is available at no cost.

“By bringing our care team into the Murdoch Center, a place families already know and trust, we're making everyday care easier to get, from wellness visits and medication refills to managing chronic conditions. That kind of regular primary care keeps families healthier and out of the ER except for true emergencies,” said Carol MacLean, RN, vice president and general manager of Arizona at Nest Health.

A neighborhood anchor

The Murdoch Community Center, at 203 E. Brannen Ave., sits in the heart of Flagstaff's historic Southside neighborhood. It is home to the Southside Community Association, a resident-driven organization that runs programs and events for neighborhood residents. The center recently reopened following a city-led renovation.

“The Murdoch Center has always been a place where families in this neighborhood come together. Having a care team right here, in a building our neighbors already walk into every week, means people can get the care they need without leaving the community,” said Deb Harris, president of the Board of Directors of the Southside Community Association.

“Ribbon cuttings are how Flagstaff welcomes new members to the community, and this one marks something local families will feel directly: health care closer to home. We're proud to celebrate Nest Health and the Murdoch Community Center together,” said Ryan Van Gerena, account executive at the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce.

The ceremony will bring together representatives of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, friends and supporters of the Murdoch Center, Nest Health's Arizona leadership and its Northern Arizona clinical team. Guests can tour the renovated center and meet the care team.

How Nest works in Northern Arizona

Nest's care team is hired locally and brings care to community locations close to home. In Flagstaff, families will see nurse practitioner Abigail Cramer and medical assistant Bobbi Jones, both from Flagstaff. The model eliminates repeat paperwork, waiting rooms and retelling medical histories at every visit. After a family's first visit, they can also get same-day telehealth sick visits and reach the Nest Family Care Line 24/7.

Families can confirm Health Choice on their AHCCCS member ID card, then call or text 928-551-6399 or visit nesthealth.com/northern-az to schedule.
