Meteor Crater Enterprises Celebrates 70 Years as a Chamber Member:
As Meteor Crater celebrates 70 years as a member of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, we remain proud to share one of Arizona's most extraordinary natural wonders with visitors from around the world.
Located just 35 miles east of Flagstaff on Historic Route 66, Meteor Crater is not only the best-preserved meteorite impact site on Earth, it's also where astronauts train. Since the Apollo era, NASA astronauts have used the crater to prepare for lunar missions, making it a destination where science, exploration, and adventure come together.
Today, guests can experience breathtaking views, guided tours, the Barringer Space Museum, and hands-on STEM education while standing in the same landscape that helped prepare humanity for the Moon.
