These organizations employ innovation and creativity to surmount the economic hurdles of a sustainable business model. Each is a paragon to other businesses and non-profits, paving the way for a green and economically robust future.

Congratulations to Our 2026 Flagstaff Chamber Green Business of the Year Recipient: Habitat for Humanity Northern Arizona
On February 13, Jason Huguez, Director of Business Development, Desert Financial Credit Union, presented the Flagstaff Chamber Green Business award to Habitat for Humanity at the Flagstaff Chamber Annual Meeting and ATHENA Awards held at the High country Conference Center.
HFHNA has instituted a number of green practices including net-zero design, appliance and furniture rescue, recycling programs, and the use of sustainable building materials. In addition the Habitat's Restore, a home improvement and thrift store rescues home improvement products and even sells recycled paint in a variety of color shades.

Chamber Green Business Certification
The Flagstaff Chamber Green Business Certification is an initiative of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce that creates a standard in environmental stewardship by which northern Arizona businesses and non-profits can strive toward. The Chamber believes that our business community can lead the way in sustainability and that by offering a certification process, accredited entities gain recognition for their efforts and have the opportunity to show the community their concern for the well-being of northern Arizona. Guidelines of the certification include measures and strategies to conserve water and energy, as well as reduce waste and carbon output.
Why Chamber Green Business Certification?
- Certified members receive a storefront decal and a website display icon to display at their place of business telling the community that they care about their environment.
- Certified members will be listed on the Chamber's website
- Green businesses will be listed in the Chamber's bi-monthly E-newsletter, social media channels and digital magazine publication: @7000ft.
- The good feeling of knowing that your organization is doing its part to ensure the health of our environment!
