Brenda Hazlett, Arizona Public Service (APS) Forestry and Special Programs Section Leader- Northeast Division.
Brenda came to APS in December of 2011 as the Relationship Manager. In April 2014, Brenda was promoted as a Section Leader in Forestry. A longtime resident of northern Arizona, Brenda has dedicated her career to making a positive impact in the community she’s called home for more than 25 years. Brenda has more than 18 years of experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships with key businesses, local governments and community leaders throughout northern Arizona. Brenda understands and values the importance of interacting with community on many levels and has extensive marketing and communications background in both the public and non-profit sectors. She was previously as General Manager of Flagstaff Live, Mountain Living Magazine and Classified Advertising Director of the Arizona Daily Sun. Advancing to United Way as the Manager of Resource Development for Northern Arizona, Brenda’s well established relationships helped to foster positive growth and respect for the organization with wide spread accomplishments including increased donor participation and contributions. Brenda, a graduate of Northern Arizona University, is actively involved in the Flagstaff community and regularly volunteers for numerous non-profits organizations as well as supporting professional leadership organizations and youth sports groups. Brenda currently sits on ten boards throughout northern Arizona, including the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, NACOG, to name a few. Brenda is a proud soccer mom of her two daughters, Sierra and Taylor. When she is not on the soccer pitch, she enjoys skiing and camping with the family dogs.
