The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and Coconino Community College’s Community & Corporate Learning Division have teamed up to produce a 16-week online Entrepreneur Academy starting Wednesday, June 15 to highlight the major elements of operating a business. Now you can learn at your desk anytime, day or night.
The Entrepreneur Academy incorporates an elite guide to leadership with advanced knowledge of business functions. Based on a survey of Chamber members, a curriculum has been developed to aid local businesses and bring you to the next level of success. On-line discussion will be supplemented by a series of in-person guest speakers about once a month at the Chamber of Commerce. Speakers will be local leaders in such fields as organizational management, finance and marketing, including use of social networks. The in-person sessions will also give you a chance to meet fellow small-business owners and create a peer network that is so essential to your entrepreneurial success.
Modules covered over the 16 week period include Leadership/Management, Customer Service, Goal Setting, Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution, Time Management/Effective Delegation of Work, Action Plans-Execution and evaluation, Financial Literacy (loans, investment, credit), Financial Management, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Marketing, HR/ Supervisor Liability Issues, and Risk Management.
Get to the next level fast! Applications are currently being accepted. Download here. Cost is $300 for Chamber members and $350 for non-members.
