NAU Spring 2010 Film Series: “Horse Feathers”
Groucho as a college president with Chico and Harpo as unlikely athletes in this Marx Brothers classic. Made in 1932, this 68-minute movie is part of the NAU College of Arts & Letters spring film series, whose theme this semester is “Love & War, Costumes & Clowns.”

Sing for the Cure
Sing for the Cure is an original song cycle dedicated to those affected by breast cancer, specifically breast cancer survivors, their families and friends. This work was commissioned by The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Dallas. This concert is a unique musical experience of humanity’s journey through breast cancer. Conceived from the stories of patients, spouses, children, and the medical community, this work features the Master Chorale of Flagstaff, chamber orchestra and soloists. In addition, the narrations between each movement will be read by breast cancer survivors from the Northern Arizona community. Portions of the proceeds from this concert will go to the local Flagstaff Cancer Society.

Grand Canyon State Winter Games
This two day event features Giant Slalom and Skier Boarder Cross Races on Saturday on the Agassiz and Northstar runs and Giant Slalom only on Sunday at the Agassiz run. Helmets required for all events and Skier Boarder Cross Racers must be 13 years of age or older.

Assistance League 17th Annual Snowball Slide
A few thousand plastic snowballs are poured into a Cemex mixer, spun around until they spill out and roll down a slide. The speediest snowballs funnel into a narrow tub and the winner is declared. First place gets $2,000. Twenty other prizes as well.
