Job Description:

Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated individual to serve as a Maintenance Technician at our newly expanded Sanders, Arizona facility. This position’s main focus is to provide a combination of electrical/instrumentation and millwright craft skills and other secondary craft skills such as welding, pipe fitting, rigging, general mechanical, equipment operation and troubleshooting, etc. as necessary to maintain facility equipment. Must use craft skills, knowledge, and tools to identify and deliver process improvements to achieve Operational Excellence and Lowest cost supplier. Strong experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation system issues. Must understand ladder logic and other controls systems programs.

Job Responsibilities:
Health, Safety and Environment
 Fully knowledgeable in and applies all company and applicable regulatory HSE standards, practices, and procedures.
 Responsible for working with operations to remove equipment from service, prepare, secure, lock out, and establish permits as necessary for maintenance of equipment throughout the Plant.
 Respond to emergencies by taking appropriate maintenance actions. Provide full support to correction of situations created during and / or after emergencies.
 Responsible for the alert supervision and / or security of any emergency situation discovered.
 Proactively engage in and support Plant HSE Programs.
 Responsible for good house keeping practices in shops, lockers, around the plant by keeping tools, equipment and materials orderly, clean, and properly stored.

Equipment Maintenance
 Employ craft skills to properly complete maintenance assignments cost effectively.
 Continually take the initiative to work productively and with a positive attitude toward the company and fellow employees.
 Recommend innovative, practical improvements to continually improve maintenance practices and results.
 Keep current on maintenance and HSE methods and practices through on-the-job and formal training as provided.
 Support production as required through efficient PM and repairs of assigned equipment.
 Prepares operating equipment for maintenance to be performed by contract maintenance crews and/or technical experts (i.e. LOTO, decontamination, line breaking, etc)
 Properly utilize and care for personal craft tools, shop tools, and mobile equipment.

Plant Records
 Ensure that all documentation and records are accurately completed and properly distributed. This includes, but is not limited to time keeping, work orders, and equipment inspection records.

Quality
 Work must comply with the requirements of site standards and other appropriate quality standards. Objective is to achieve ZERO DEFECTS from mechanical causes / mechanic errors.
 Strive for “best value” solutions to all maintenance problems.

Teamwork
 Provide input to production, project, and commissioning teams.

Training
 In addition to typical maintenance skills, this position requires significant maintenance experience in facilities handling flammable/hazardous materials.

Work Schedule
 Shift Work
 Company seeks to minimize overtime, but when it is required, all employees must work a fair share.

Position Overview:

Quality Control Technicians (QC Tech) test and inspect incoming raw materials, in-process samples and finished manufactured products to ensure conformity to documented specifications and tolerances. The QC Tech will work with production personnel on the production floor to maintain product performance and to ensure all customer requirements are meet concerning product quality. Additionally, the QC Tech will perform miscellaneous production related duties in support of operations. This position will be based at our newly expanded Sanders, Arizona operation.

Job Responsibilities:
• Shift Work.
• Accurately inspecting and testing various production samples and or raw materials per procedures.
• Accurately reporting findings to the necessary personnel and completing necessary documentation.
• Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results
• Performing rechecks, investigating complaints or problems and coordinating with the Production Manager on departmental quality issues.
• Collecting and sending production samples to the corporate office and or storage as required.
• Generating and distributing appropriate quality reports, and other informational sources for employees and management.
• conducts chemical analyses and/or uses independent labs to characterize the materials
• Following Preferred Sands, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations and guidelines
• Labeling of waste shipments.
• Able to follow instructions given by supervisor and/or manager.
• Responsible for other tasks within the employees training and skills as directed by the supervisor and/or department manager.
• Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory
• Collects miscellaneous samples (rainwater, raw materials, waste streams),
• Assist with miscellaneous production tasks as directed. Including housekeeping, basic labor tasks, etc.
